The Kingwood Church of Christ is a Christ-centered, family-focused community church.  The Kingwood church has been spreading the good news of Jesus Christ and serving the community since 1971.  We sincerely hope you give us the opportunity to get to know you better. DIRECTIONS & PARKING.

We are located at 2901 Woodland Hills Dr., Kingwood, TX. 77339.  Click HERE for a map.  We have parking on the North and West sides of the building.  We also have handicapped and visitor parking near the building for your convenience. 

FOR YOUR KIDS. We offer classes for children of all ages. During worship, we offer an attended nursery for your infant and toddlers as well as children's worships during the sermon for preschool and elementary. More information may be found on the children's ministry pages.

Bill Green

Elder

Bill was installed as an Elder serving the Kingwood Church of Christ in March, 2012. He serves as a liaison Elder for Vince Nieves, Children's Minister, and is involved in the oversight of missions. He has previously served as the Deacon charged with oversight of the campus ministry at Palo Verde Church of Christ and The University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, and as Deacon involved with missions for Kingwood Church of Christ. Bill has been happily married to Melissa Bennett Green for 30 years. They have 2 children, Brent, age 23, who is a foreman at Storm Farms in Arlington, and Amanda, age 19, who is a freshman at Abilene Christian University majoring in Art. He grew up for the most part in Abilene. His father, Brent Green, was a professor of Art at A.C.U., as well as, an Elder at the University Church of Christ in Abilene. His mother is Ina Green a former Psychology professor at A.C.U. His grandfather, B.W. Lynch, served as Elder for the Highlands Church of Christ in Highlands, Texas. Bill is a physician Anesthesiologist practicing at Memorial Hermann Northeast Medical Center and Kingwood Medical Center. Both he and Melissa are graduates of ACU. Bill also has a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics from the Ohio State University and a Medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He completed residencies in both Pediatrics and Anesthesiology. Bill's passion is Zambia Medical Mission where he plans to return as often as he can.

Craig Maxwell

Elder

Craig has been a member of the Lord’s church for over 40 years, in several different locations across Texas. He has been a deacon for over 14 years in various capacities in 3 different locations as well as elder for 5 yrs in the Nederland, TX church. Craig was installed as an elder of the Kingwood church in March of 2012. He and Susan, both graduates of LCU, will have been married 34 years in August 2017. They have been wonderfully blessed with four children. He has worked in various positions of Supply Chain Management for ORION Carbons for over 30 years. Craig’s mission at KWCOC is to help guide, defend, protect and equip the members of KWCOC for relationship building and service to one another and the world.

Jack Roland

Elder

Jack Roland is a CPA and a Certified Financial Plannner(tm) practitioner. He has been a member of the Kingwood Church of Christ since 1977. He is a 1967 graduate of Abilene Christian University. Jack is married to Judy Roland. They have 3 children and 6 grandchildren.

Alan Sutton

Elder

Alan retired on December 31, 2012 after being employed at KBR for 42 years. His last position was Project Controls Manager. Alan graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in Chemical Engineering in 1968. Alan and Connie have been married since February 1972 and have 2 daughters, Jennifer and Jessica and 1 son, Jeff. We have one grandson, Denim Haney, born to Dustin and Jennifer Haney and now living in Pasadena, Texas. We, also, have a granddaughter Stella Sutton, born to Jeff and Robin Sutton who live in Austin, Texas. Alan and Connie have been members at KWCOC for 30 years and Alan has served as a deacon for many of those years. He is especially passionate about life groups. His desire is to see the congregation and its families united in love across all generations with all members continuing to grow toward the model that Jesus set for all of us.

John Walker

Elder

John Walker has been a member of Kingwood church of Christ since 1989. He has taught classes, preached and led tours to the holy lands (Israel, Egypt, Turkey and Greece) for KWCOC. He is a pilot for United Airlines and previously flew for the Arkansas Air National Guard. He graduated from Harding University with a B.A. in Bible and has an M.B.A. from the University of Central Arkansas. He is married and has three children and two grandchildren. His hobbies include hunting, fishing and riding his Harley.

David Weed

Elder

David is a retired Pediatrician who had been employed at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic since 1986. He graduated from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1975 and completed a Pediatric Residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in 1978. Eileen, his wife, is a retired RN. They were married in 1973 and have two daughters, Shelly and Paige, one son, Christopher, and one grandson, Heath. David and Eileen have been members of the KWCOC since 1986, and both have been involved in Life Groups, foreign missions, and teaching. His desire is to fulfill Jesus' Great Commission, in Matthew 28: to go into all the world making baptized disciples and teach them all of Jesus' commands.
